The Visit Summary

The 'Visit' Frameset is designed to replicate the functionality of the Visit Summary on the desktop.

You can get to this frameset by tapping on any invoice number (usually found in hotlists, appointments, patient or client visit information) or on the Visit button on the Main page.

Information which is normally contained on one page on the desktop has been separated into several pages which are accessed by using the navigation bar at the top of the page.

Home - Returns the user to the 'Main' frameset

Summary - Displays the (textual) visit summary including presenting complaint, pertinent history, problem list, clinical diagnoses, plans & progress notes, discharge summary, and discharge instructions. Tapping on the PC, Hx, etc. links allow the user to quickly navigate to the section of interest.

Search - Allows the user to search for additional visits based on the patient or client number, or by invoice.

Client Info - Demographics for the client (including current estimate, and charges. Primary care provider and referral veterinarian are also included if applicable. Tapping on the client number here will take the user to additional information about this client including a list of the client's pets, a record of all appointments and visits, as well as all messages and prescriptions.

If the charges are greater than the estimate, they are displayed in red numbers to remind the user to update the estimate for the client.
Patient Info - Demographic for the patient (including the current location, the student and clinician on the case, and the status of the visit summary). Tapping on the patient number will take the user to additional information on that patient, including all labwork ever performed (at the VMTH), all appointments, visits, procedures & consults, prescriptions, and messages.

Diagnostics - Includes all laboratory tests performed for this patient ON THIS VISIT. There are also links to allow the user to view individual labsheets for Chemistry, Hematology, UA, and ICU results

Tapping on a request number will take you to a PDA version of the

Messages - View all messages for this visit. Tap on a Msg# to view summary of message as well as who entered it.
Printing - Allows the user to print a copy of the visit summary or discharge instructions to any printer in the hospital.
Next/Previous - Takes user to the previous or next visit for this patient.
