Setting up Email on your Pocket PC 2003 Device

Note: These instructions assume you have already set up your device to use Moobilenet

Creating an Account

1. Clicking on Start, then Messaging.
2. Click on Accounts, then New Account.
   
3. Enter your email address then click 'Next'
   
4. Wait until the Status reads 'Completed' then click 'Next'
   
5. Fill in your name, username (this is your Kerberos username), and your password. Click 'Save Password' if you want to...
   
6. Make sure that POP3 is selected for the account type and click 'Next'
   
7. Fill in the information about your incoming and outgoing mail servers. You can find which server you should use by visiting http://email.ucdavis.edu and entering your kerberos username into the MailID Detective box. The Domain should always be ucdavis.edu. Click 'Options' button to set some required features if you are connecting to a ucdavis email server.
   
8. If you want your device to automatically look for new email, check the box and choose a duration. Click 'Next'
   
9. Check the 'Require SSL connection' and click 'Next'
   
10. Choose whether you want to just get the headers and first part of the message or the entire message.
    
11. To complete your email configuration, click 'Finish'
